Notice of a DWC Meeting:
We need to have a DWC meeting to discuss various aspects regarding the network. Rather than all drive out somewhere and meet, we are going to have the meeting online.
Monday the 12th of May at 20:00
The meeting should be around 30 - 45 minutes.
Topics to be discussed
- Formalising various aspects of the network - various duties to assist with administration etc.
- Braais, Socials, meetings and those kinds of things....
- Looking foward - what are our plans.
- Possibility of running a mini training course for our DWC members - hosted by Skydog - learning RouterOS
- Backup IRC Server?
- Dedicated Gaming server
- Improving this wiki - adding howtos etc.
If you have anything you would like to discuss, please edit this Wiki entry with info so everyone can see it before the meeting and have time to think a bit about it.
Technical details:
The plan is to first meet in the IRC channel - #dwc on irc.dwc.za.net to get everything organised.
We will most likely use Teamspeak to host an audio conferance - as we do not need to precreate any accounts (if we were using SIP) for everyone to use. You can get a copy of teamspeak from Brad or Compaqman's FTP servers. Compaqman has a copy on 172.19.21.10 in the uploads 2 folder.
The Teamspeak server to connect to is hosted at 172.19.21.10. The server password is dwc
We will try to record the meeting - and will put it on the network afterwards for download.
Please setup and test your teamspeak connection - microphone, speakers, server connection etc. in good time before the meeting.
If you need any assistance with Teamspeak, Schnappy, Brad and Compaqman will be able to assist.
If you are not connected to DWC, and would still like to join the conference call, please contact either Skydog or Compaqman.
